We pride ourselves in providing a personal service and strive to treat all of our clients as individuals. We are passionate about Pilates and believe that it can be beneficial, even life changing for so many people!
Pilates is one of the most popular exercise systems in the country.
One of the best things about the Pilates method is that it works so well for a wide range of people. Athletes and dancers love it, as do seniors, women rebounding from pregnancy and people at various stages of physical rehabilitation.
Unlike some forms of exercise Pilates does not overdevelop some parts of the body and neglect others. Whilst Pilates training does focus on Core strength, it trains the body as an integrated whole.
Pilates focuses on working the deep stabilising muscles of the core that support your spine and include the pelvic floor.
We offer classes, small group tuition and one to one Pilates from our studios in Hoddesdon and Hertford.
Pilates is an exercise method which focuses on strength, mobility, flexibility and posture. Each exercise is slow and controlled and can be easily adapted to suit an individual clients needs. Pilates is primarily (exercise) Mat based with some standing strength and balance work (but don’t worry, you can use the wall to aid your balance if need be).
Pilates is great for those who suffer from back pain or joint pain and/or bad posture or muscular tension. It is equally good for the keen exercise enthusiast or athlete to help improve strength, endurance and prevent injury. It is great for improving muscle tone especially the muscles of your tummy and waist. Pilates is also a good way to switch off, relax and reduce stress and anxiety.
Don’t worry you are in safe hands. Pilates is slow and controlled and is a great place to start if you are taking up exercise for the first time or starting up after a while. During class we will give you easier and harder options and will guide you every step of the way.
Pilates is great for those with back, bone or joint issues in fact it will help you to reduce pain, improve mobility helping you to get back to the things you love doing!
